The Defense Depot is located at 1736 Venice Dr in South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. To confirm current hours, fees and availability before you drive there, call +1 (530) 318-5163.
The business holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms). This license allows the dealer to buy, sell and receive firearms, including transfers shipped from an online purchase.
When a firearm is sold online or at a gun show, the seller ships it to the buyer's chosen FFL dealer. The buyer then collects it in person with photo ID, completes ATF Form 4473 and passes a background check before taking possession. State and local rules can add requirements. Contact The Defense Depot first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
