Colonial Gun Works

Colonial Gun Works is located at 2347 Durham Rd in Madison, CT. The business holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms), which allows it to buy, sell, and receive firearms, including transfers from online purchases. You can call +1 (203) 214-2743 to confirm hours, fees, and availability before visiting.

A Type 01 dealer may also manufacture ammunition and cannot receive a firearm transfer. This distinction is important for anyone planning a transfer. The license-status notice above shows whether Colonial Gun Works currently appears on the ATF licensee list. Call the business to confirm it can receive a transfer before you arrange one.

FFL transfers work by having the seller ship the firearm to the buyer’s chosen dealer. The buyer collects it in person with photo ID, completes ATF Form 4473, and passes a background check. State and local rules can add requirements. Contact Colonial Gun Works first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
