Located at 421 Lincoln Ave in Wamego, Kansas, Oregon Trail Trading Post is a local business holding a federal firearms license. The shop is open Monday from 1pm to 6pm, Wednesday through Friday from 1pm to 6pm, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Because hours can change, it is best to call +1 (785) 456-9796 to confirm availability before visiting.
Oregon Trail Trading Post holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms). This license allows the business to buy, sell, and receive firearms, which means it can accept a firearm transfer shipped from an online purchase or another dealer. This makes it a valid destination for buyers who have purchased a gun remotely and need a local point of receipt.
When an FFL transfer is arranged, the seller ships the firearm directly to the buyer’s chosen dealer. The buyer then collects it in person, presenting a photo ID, completing ATF Form 4473, and passing a background check. State and local rules may add further requirements. Contact Oregon Trail Trading Post first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
