Jay’s Sporting Goods holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms). This license allows the business to buy, sell, and receive firearms, including completing transfers for items shipped from online purchases or other private sellers.

When purchasing a firearm online or from a private party, the seller ships the item to this chosen FFL dealer. The buyer must then collect it in person, presenting a photo ID, completing ATF Form 4473, and passing a background check. State and local laws may impose additional requirements. Contact Jay’s Sporting Goods first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
