Located at 3521 New Bern Hwy in Jacksonville, NC 28546, Sportsmans Lodge operates as a licensed firearms dealer with specific hours for walk-in visits. The business is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 17:00, and Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00. To confirm current availability, fees, or specific transfer requirements before traveling, call +1 (910) 937-6334.
Sportsmans Lodge holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms). This license allows the business to buy, sell, and receive firearms, including transfers shipped from online purchases or other dealers. It serves as a central point for completing the legal paperwork required for firearm ownership changes.
When purchasing a firearm online or at an out-of-town shop, the seller ships the item directly to this FFL dealer. The buyer must then appear in person with a valid photo ID, complete ATF Form 4473, and pass a federal background check. State and local laws may impose additional restrictions. Contact Sportsmans Lodge first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
