Sporting Defense is located at 4106 State Route 43 in Kent, Ohio. The store operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You should call +1 (330) 677-3697 to confirm these hours, any transfer fees, and availability before making the trip.
Sporting Defense holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms). This license allows the business to buy, sell, and receive firearms, which includes accepting a transfer shipped from an online purchase or another private seller. It is the standard license for a retail firearms dealer.
When purchasing a firearm online or from a private party, the seller ships the item to your chosen FFL dealer. You must collect it in person, present a valid photo ID, complete ATF Form 4473, and pass a background check. State and local laws may add extra requirements. Contact Sporting Defense first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
