Residential premises - not a storefront
This federal firearms licence is held at a residential address. The licensee can receive and transfer firearms, but there is no shop to visit. Arrange everything by phone or email before sending anything here.
The Mountaineer is located at 235 Hemlock St in Mountain City, Tennessee. The premises are noted as a residential address - not a walk-in storefront. You should call +1 (423) 291-9691 to confirm hours, fees and availability before going.
The Mountaineer holds a Type 01 federal firearms license (Dealer in Firearms). This license allows the business to buy, sell and receive firearms, including a transfer shipped from an online purchase.
When buying a firearm online or from a private party, the seller ships the item directly to the buyer's chosen FFL dealer. The buyer must then collect it in person, present a valid photo ID, complete ATF Form 4473 and pass a background check. State and local rules may add further requirements. Contact The Mountaineer first to confirm it accepts the transfer and what it charges.
