Brian Lohman Mfg holds a Type 07 federal firearms license (Manufacturer of Firearms). This license allows the holder to manufacture firearms and also deal in them and receive transfers. A Type 07 dealer can accept a firearm shipped from an online purchase or another private seller, provided all federal and state laws are followed during the transfer process.
In an FFL transfer, the seller ships the firearm to the buyer’s chosen dealer. The buyer collects it in person with photo ID, completes ATF Form 4473 and passes a background check before taking it.
