At 8.6 oz including the barrel nut, it significantly reduces front-end mass compared to heavier alternatives.

The M-LOK System allows for direct accessory attachment without the bulk of traditional rail systems. A Monolithic Top Rail integrates with the handguard, sliding over the Proprietary Barrel Nut and locking tightly against the receiver with six screws. This tight fit-up ensures a rigid connection between Top Rail and the upper receiver.
